Parillas & asados

Argentina is famous for football, tango and of course their beef. Well I have to admit that the steaks here are really good. The other food I have had here is good although a little bland. The barbequed steaks are the best I have had anywhere.
The whole city is full of parillas (barbecue restaurants) where they serve up asado (a mix of barbecued meat).
The other day I had a really good steak in a parilla in Palermo Viejo. See for yourself:

2 weeks of school

Passed the first test without problems or actually studying. That doesn't mean anything though. The test didn't include some of the more 'difficult' topics we covered. I guess that because it's a school but a company at the same time. They are interested that you pass and go on to the next level. That also means there are people of different skill level in all the classes which is not always very interesting...

Football Argentina - Brasil

Through the school we managed to get tickets to the Argentina - Brasial qualification match in the stadium of River Plate. The ticket's orginal price of 10 peso (CHF 4,50) is only there to make you feel frustrated, because we ended up paying 120 pesos. Still not that much compared to European prices.

It does mean that many Argentinians can't actually go to see the match because they can't afford to pay that much. A moral dilemma but only for a short while cause how many times do you have the chance to see a match like that.
The atmosphere in the stadium was great and very safe although we had been warned many times about the violence that is common at South American football matches.
